Dr Jenny Wells is an experienced teacher and tutor who has a proven record of assisting students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Her teaching philosophy is founded upon an abiding passion for the study of English, respect for individual differences, a valuing of creativity, and the fostering of a sense of resilience, empowerment and self-worth in her students.
Jenny has worked in the private and public system and she has taught at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary level. In the course of her career she has occupied a number of positions including:

She possesses demonstrable understanding of, and expertise, in the implementation of the NSW BOSTES English curriculum to a high standard. In her capacity as Head of Studies she has successfully implemented the Australian Curriculum in Years 7-10 and has directed programming across these Year Groups. She possesses, therefore, a practical and working knowledge of the initiatives of the English curriculum from 7-10.
She has also been an HSC specialist for a number of years and has designed, programmed and taught courses in HSC Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 English over a twenty- five year period. As an English teacher and Head of English, she has achieved outstanding results for year cohorts and for individual students. She is known for her dynamic and supportive approach, her clear assessment of needs, her creativity, and her love of English.
